Eight classes at global launch, six roles, one permanent-feeling decision. Class guides with PvE and PvP builds live below; the tier list tracks where the meta stands each patch.
Aion 2 launches globally with the eight classic classes of the franchise, each occupying a distinct role: Gladiator and Assassin as melee damage, Ranger and Sorcerer and Spiritmaster covering the ranged and magic spectrum, Templar as the dedicated tank, Cleric as the healer and Chanter as the hybrid support. Class choice is permanent per character and shapes everything from your leveling experience to which endgame lane suits you, which makes it the most consequential decision of character creation.
Each class guide below covers PvE and PvP builds, stigma priorities, difficulty and a current-meta verdict, kept in sync with the tier list as balance patches land. The tier list itself is updated on a fixed review cycle and after every significant balance change, with the changelog recording what moved and why.
