Six weeks from Advance Access, the shape of the Aion 2 global launch is mostly settled — and the remaining blanks are specific enough to list. This is the running checklist we maintain until launch day: what NC has confirmed on the record, and what is still officially unannounced. Bookmark it; every NC announcement between now and September 30 gets folded in with a dated note.

The launch calendar: Advance Access opens September 30, 2026, with the free-to-play start following in early October. Platforms: PC via Steam and the PURPLE launcher, with the global build targeting PC exclusively. Scale: a simultaneous launch across NA, SA, EU and Asia with support for 10 languages. The roster: eight classes at launch — Gladiator, Templar, Assassin, Ranger, Sorcerer, Spiritmaster, Cleric and Chanter. Hardware: official specs are published, from a GTX 1050 Ti minimum to an RTX 2070 recommended tier — the full tables and what they mean in practice are in our system requirements guide. Monetization: cosmetics and optional memberships, no randomized lootboxes, with Founder’s Packs from $24.99 including 30 days of membership.
The exact free-to-play date — “early October” has never been narrowed to a day, whatever third-party sites print. The launch content state: whether global starts at the current KR/TW patch level (level 50 cap, Season 2 Abyss) or an earlier snapshot. The dungeon and raid roster for global day one. Brawler, the ninth class live in Korea since July, has no global date. And the membership benefit table — the detail that decides how the no-lootbox promise feels in practice.
For players, the preparation that pays is knowledge, not vigilance: the launch version of the game is describable today within the caveats above, and our beginner guide is written against exactly that version, hedges included. The blanks on this list are trailer material — expect the biggest of them to close at gamescom Opening Night Live on August 25, and expect this post to say so the same evening.
